Rimming

Rimming is when with one’s person mouth explores the partner’s anus. It is important to be prepared before rimming for example washing your body before and after, have yourself vaccinated for Hepatitis A& B and use dental dams in order to stop contact from mouth to anus. DO not feel pressured to perform rimming if this practise does not appeal to you. Some people use it as an opportunity to relax before anal sex. Look after your mouth, do not carry out rimming if you have gum disease, ulcers or cuts or if you just have brushed your teeth or flossed. By rimming you can acquire the following infections such as Hepatitis A or B, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Herpes and genital warts. Also since the interior of the anus hosts intestinal bacteria, oral-anal contact carries risk for Giardia and other intestinal conditions such as Shigellosis. Using dental dams, cut condoms, and lube will greatly reduce the likelihood of transmission of SAIs and other infections.Even a recently washed anus can carry infectious microorganisms especially if you rim someone who hasn't washed beforehand, or who is suffering from diarrhoea.
