Nicotine narrows blood vessels thus limiting blood flow throughout the body, including to sexual organs. Smoking men may have difficulties getting an erection, have reduced sperm count and volume of ejaculation and may experience change in sperm shape. Smoking women are more likely to have irregular periods, have problems with lubrication, reach menopause earlier, develop cervical cancer and have fertility problems.
